Okay, so picture this: I’m at a comic con, right? Surrounded by people dressed as Luffy, Zoro, Nami… you get the picture. Someone bumps into me, spilling their (questionable) Pringles all over my limited-edition Zoro shirt. Devastated, I mutter something about needing a distraction, and someone immediately launches into a detailed theory about One Piece 1085. Like, immediately. Before I could even process the salty potato situation. That’s the kind of hold this series has, isn’t it?
Which brings me to...One Piece 1085! Let's dissect this bad boy.
The World Government's Shady Business
Seriously, is there anyone who actually trusts the World Government at this point? I mean, aside from maybe Spandam, who clearly has some issues. Chapter 1085 throws even more fuel on the fire of their already suspicious activities.
- Im-sama's Involvement: Let's start with the big one. Im-sama is definitely not who we thought they were. Scratch that – nobody really knew who they were to begin with, but now we have some serious context. Their connection to the Void Century is becoming clearer, and it’s clearly linked to the destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom. Brutal, right? (Side note: anyone else think Im-sama's silhouette looks a bit...familiar? Like a really pissed-off cat?)
- Cobra's Sacrifice: Poor Cobra! He just wanted some answers, and he ended up facing the wrath of the Gorosei AND Im-sama. Did anyone really think he was going to make it out alive? It's a One Piece trope at this point, the noble sacrifice. Still, it hits hard.
- The Gorosei's True Power: Speaking of the Gorosei... their true forms! Finally! We got a glimpse of their Zoan transformations (or are they?). They definitely aren't just a bunch of old dudes sitting in a fancy room. Now, that's power. Are they awakened Zoans? Mythical Zoans? Ancient Zoans? The possibilities are endless, and honestly, I'm here for it. (Seriously, Oda, don't leave us hanging for too long!)
Basically, everything we thought we knew about the World Government is being turned upside down. Again. But hey, that's One Piece for you!
Sabo: The Flame Emperor Strikes Back (Sort Of)
Sabo! Our favorite revolutionary (besides Dragon, of course). He's back, and he’s got a lot to say. But, let's be real, is Sabo really going to be able to take on the Gorosei and Im-sama? It seemed like he barely escaped with his life, even with the help of Cobra.

- The Truth About Lulusia: Sabo witnessed firsthand the destruction of the Lulusia Kingdom. He now knows that Im-sama possesses some seriously terrifying power. This is going to fuel the Revolutionary Army's fire even more, I guarantee it.
- Sharing the Knowledge: Sabo managed to get a message out to Dragon and the Revolutionary Army. He relayed what he witnessed at Pangaea Castle, including the existence of Im-sama and their powers. That information is crucial for planning their next move.
- The Accusations: The World Government is trying to pin the blame for Cobra's death on Sabo. Classic. But, knowing the fans, nobody is going to fall for that. Sabo is innocent! ...Right? (Okay, maybe a little guilty, but it was self-defense!)
Sabo's escape is a major win for the Revolutionaries. He's a key witness to the World Government's atrocities, and his information will be invaluable in their fight for freedom.
The Nefertari Family's Legacy
The Nefertari family is way more important than we initially thought. It turns out, they possess some deep secrets. Secrets that the World Government wants to keep buried...permanently.

- The Will of D: The most intriguing revelation? Cobra mentions that his family is part of the "Will of D." This throws a wrench into everything. Are the Nefertari's secretly connected to the Straw Hats? What does this all mean?! My brain hurts just thinking about it.
- The Empty Throne: Cobra questioned the meaning of the Empty Throne and why the Nefertari family refused to sit on it. This proves that they knew something the other kingdoms didn't. They were likely aware of Im-sama and the World Government's true intentions.
- Lili's Role: Who is Lili Nefertari? And why is Im-sama holding a picture of her? Was she a rebel? Did she betray the World Government? All of this has me asking so many questions about what secrets she may have been hiding and what effect she may have had on the events of the Void Century.
The Nefertari family is clearly a key piece of the puzzle. Their history is intertwined with the Void Century and the secrets of the World Government. Expect to see a lot more focus on them in future chapters. (Especially Vivi, please be okay!)
What Does This Mean for the Future?
One Piece 1085 was a game-changer. It provided a lot of answers, but it also raised even more questions. Where do we go from here?

- The Revolutionary Army's Response: With the information Sabo provided, the Revolutionary Army will undoubtedly launch a major offensive against the World Government. Dragon has been preparing for this moment for years.
- The Straw Hats' Involvement: The Straw Hats are inevitably going to be drawn into the conflict. Their connection to the Will of D and their growing influence in the world makes them a major threat to the World Government.
- The Void Century's Secrets: The Void Century is finally starting to come into focus. We're getting closer and closer to learning the truth about what happened, and it's going to change everything.
The final saga of One Piece is officially in full swing! I can't wait to see what Oda has in store for us. It is safe to say that it will be a wild ride filled with many twists and turns. Hold on tight!
So, that's my take on One Piece 1085. What did you think of the chapter? Let me know in the comments below! And if you have any theories about Im-sama's cat-like tendencies, I'm all ears.
