Okay, okay, so picture this: me, trying to run a small online business. A nightmare, right? I’m talking juggling spreadsheets, social media meltdowns (don’t even ask about the Instagram algorithm…), and enough coffee to fuel a small rocket. Basically, a hot mess express.
And then… bam! My team arrives. Not just any team, mind you. We're talking a squad of ridiculously, almost suspiciously, competent individuals. Like, seriously, did they send me superheroes disguised as marketing assistants? I’m not kidding.
The first one through the door was Chloé. My new digital marketing guru. And guru is no joke, right? She’s like a whiz with all the socials.
I am totally not exaggerating. And get this - she actually enjoys SEO. I almost fainted when she told me! Who enjoys SEO? I thought it was something people just suffered through. Like taxes, or waiting in line at the DMV.
And get this, right after that, there was Baptiste.
Next up was Baptiste, my new web development wizard! He's the kind of guy who can look at a line of code and instantly know what’s wrong. Like, I showed him my website (which I hacked together myself, bless my heart) and he didn't even laugh. He just…fixed it. In, like, five minutes. Five minutes! It took me five days!
Do you believe it? I'm starting to think i am the problem here. I bet you are too.
He can make the site jump to another one in a flash. It is incredible, right?
And finally! There was Amélie! The social media queen. And don't even get me started talking about here.
This woman had a mind of gold. Her ideas made me think if that's the life!
And don’t get me started on their work ethic! I swear they’re powered by some kind of alien energy source. They are more hard work than I have ever been in my life. I didn’t even know that such a thing was possible! And they did it all together. It was something special really.
Like, I come in on Monday morning expecting to find chaos (because, let’s be honest, that’s my default setting), and instead, everything’s…organized? Efficient? Dare I say… pleasant? It’s so weird. Like, am I dreaming? Is this some kind of elaborate prank?
So, yeah, that's the basic premise. Chapter one: I hire these amazing people, and suddenly, I am like "what's my role here"?
I am now thinking about the future of the company, and it does not involve me. I just want to travel the world.
But seriously, it’s a good problem to have. I mean, who complains about having a team of rockstars? But still, it's weird, no? I mean, what will I do with all my newfound free time? Learn to knit? Finally organize my sock drawer?
Stay tuned for chapter two! I promise, it’s going to be a wild ride. At least, I hope it will be. Unless my team figures everything out and I’m just sitting here twiddling my thumbs. Which, honestly, is a distinct possibility. Wish me luck (or at least, send coffee)!
